You can change between the two worlds in order to gather clues, but although the game tells you it can be done at any time, it actually only works when there’s a clue nearby. Each switch requires you to play a mini-game in which you have to click on symbols, and it gets boring pretty quickly. Other than that, you just tackle the usual hidden object scenes and the occasional puzzle that requires a bit more concentration.

It’s a shame that the gameplay is so dull most of the time, because it would be great to explore the detailed environments and get more intimate with the story. However, the whole thing becomes very repetitive in a rush, which ruins the mood. Thankfully, at least the scenes you visit along the way are still pretty nicely designed, even if there’s so little to do with them.
