Chocolate Installer For Windows
I intend to reinstall Windows on my computer soon and I'd like to make the process of reinstalling all of my applications as seamless as possible. I know you can create a Chocolatey script that can be run on the new machine that will install of the applications I add to the script, but I have many applications and the process of typing out all of these into the script is tedious.
Is there some application available that can scan the currently installed programs on my computer (Win7) and generate a Chocolatey/Boxstarter script containing all of my programs that I can then use to reinstall all of them on my new computer?
- Jan 28, 2018 Chocolatey - Install Apps from Command Line This tutorial will show how add the Chocolatey package manager in Windows and use PowerShell or Command Prompt to install applications silently. Chocolatey allows you to install multiple applications with just one command.
- Prebuilt binaries are available for Linux, OS X and Windows. Install using sudo apt-get install jq. Use Homebrew to install jq 1.5 with brew install jq.

As far as I am aware, there is no such solution. It is definitely something I have thought of. It would be super cool to run a command that would look at:
Chocolatey was born out of providing automation for Windows and doing that with packages, packages that could surround an installer but didn’t necessarily need to. The Chocolatey install scripts use the Chocolatey package (a nupkg file itself) to be installed and upgraded as just another package.
- Currently installed packages
- Running services
- Installed windows features
- GUI registry settings
- MSIs installed and find matching chocolatey packages
and then spit out a big custom chocolatey package that could reconstruct the environment.
This might get you some of the way:
lists installed packages (programs), whether installed by Chocolately, or not, as in your case. Adding -v
gives you (sometimes) the install path:
Then you could find the appropriate Chocolatey packages by searching chocolatey.org manually (or by some other means..) for the programs listed and prepare a powershell or Cygwin bash script like this: http://robinosborne.co.uk/2012/01/06/scripting-the-setup-of-a-developer-pc-part-3-of-4-installing-uh-everything-with-chocolatey/
Good luck!
There is one way to do it..
This will get you installed gems, things installed in programs and features, and if you do have chocolatey packages, it will pull those as well.

There were no problems with installation.
I can play it, but it stops working a lot. It will keep your place in the game to some degree, but it usually makes you backtrack a little. You end up doing the same challenge over and over until the game will play long enough for you to move forward to a place it recognizes. Then it will 'keep your place' next time it stops. But then it will stop again and you have to do a newer challenge over and over. It is annoying that it stops so much and you have to do the same challenges over and over.

Has anyone figured out how to play Chocolatier 2 on Windows 10?
If you have windows 10, simply bring up the Chocolatier - Decadence by design, take it out of full screen mode, and minimize it. Then bring up either of the earlier versions and they will run smoothly. This seems to work whether you are using Steam or WildTangent Games. Yes, you have to buy the 3rd installation, but if you have already bought the first 2, you would probably be buying the 3rd game anyway. Good Luck!
