Kaon is a digital television provider that focuses mostly on New Zealand, although it also services many of the island nations throughout the region. If your Kaon receiver needs to be updated, do so with a standard download, provided free on the Kaon website.

Step 1

Open your Internet browser and navigate to the Kaon website. Once there, choose 'Online Store' and click 'Downloads.'

Step 2

Select the receiver you are currently using, then click the download link for the files to download to the computer.

Step 3

Plug the USB flash drive into a USB port on the computer, then click 'Start,' 'Computer' and double-click the removable device icon. This loads a window onto the computer system. Click and drag the downloaded software into the open window.

Close out the open window, disconnect the USB flash drive and plug it into a USB port on the Kaon receiver. Power on the receiver and the files upload directly onto the receiver, and upgrade the hardware.
